Farnborough House consists of 38 social housing apartments, whilst Bessborough Road contains 7 supported living dwellings together with a caretaker's flat.
In achieving Passivhaus standards, the two schemes will enable residents to enjoy high levels of winter and summer comfort at very low energy costs. The building envelopes have been fully optimised for low heat loss, including careful design of windows and designing out possible thermal bridges. Generous balconies have been optimised to avoid thermal bridges by incorporating external structural support.
